One beautiful day, exactly 5th November 1967, when the Sun was in the Zodiac sign of Scorpio Krzysztof Kiljanski was born. His parents were probably not aware of what great tallent he will explore in our wonderful country in the future.  
 
However, this tallent was awaken rather early in musical school in small Polish town Nowa Sol (Near Zielona Góra). There, 12 year old Krzysiu gave his first performence playing the accordeon. As a 16 year old boy he takes part in tourist song contest with the group LOLABOGA.  
 
Next 4 years the tallented artist is engaged in the cooperation with the group ZEGRO, where he sings and plays the guitar. They participate in many festivals and contests playing their own music with success. Almost in the same time Krzysztof sings in the rock group HGW (1985-1987)  and is active in the Esperanto association. He was plannig to performe songs in this language on the festival in Sweden. Unfortunately, he was declined passport by the government. What a rich and variours rouds of tallent! But as you will be able to notice while you follow the story, it was a rule.  
 
After HGW there was change again, and the group was called DZIECI FILIPA (PHILIP'S CHILDREN).  The drummer in teh group was Witold Cislo, who later became the co-author of  In the Room  album material and partner of Krzysztof great success. DZIECI FILIPA was just the episode of few concerts.
 
Then on the basis of ZEGRO the Ex Nonet group was formed. They were awarded with many prizes, just to mention few: at Cracow Festival of Actor Song, at Meetings of Young Authors and Composers in Mysliborz or Castle Meeting with Sung Poetry in Olsztyn.
 
In 1987 on SMAK (Meetings of Young Authors and Composers) 20 year old Krzysztof first time performed his own songs as Krzysztof Kiljañski. He was awarded special prize. From 1990 to 1996 Krzysztof performes at the Soldier's Performer Group where he was employed. He took part in more than 1.500 concerts and entertaintments of the group in Poland an abroad. But that does not disturb Krzysztof to do also other things in the same time. For example he was awarded with Grand Prix Prize at the Festival of Student Song LYKEND in Wroclaw, where he was singing his own songs with the guitar. He cooperated with KONFERENSJER group (1993-1997), where also Witold Cislo played. They gave concerts together and created even their own project of the album, but none of  phonographic firms was interested in it.
 
In 1998 year of the Artist the foreign episode takes place. Krzysztof spents half a year in Taiwan. There he sings the songs of his favourite classics, like Nat Kings Cole, Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles or Elvis Presley. After his return he starts cooperation with  OLD FRIENDS ORCHESTRA , the group where elite of Polish and foreign jazz musicians plays. 2001 brings another change in musical landscape of Kiljañski, that is the big band of Jerzy Szymaniuk which which he gives concerts and takes part in many festivals and contests with great success . On jazz Festival "Zlota Tarka" he was awarded spcecial prize and on International Meetings of Jazz Vocalists in Zamosc he gained Second Prize.

At the end the year he writes new songs together with Witek Cislo.

Time for another change. In 2002 Krzysztof starts cooperaton with Piotr Baron on the project Sinatra Jazz, but in the same time he is working  with Witek on the new material. In a year time the already famous today in Poland demo is completed. Demo CD which Kayah  loved so much ( she is one of the greatest Polish singers and the owner of Record Company Kayax). The demo was the base for  he wonderful album "In the Room" .Krzysztof takes part in the concert Tribute to Count Basiena Old Jazz Meeting Zlota Tarka in the company of leading Polish jazz singers: Hanna Banaszak, Ewa Bem, Lora Szafran and the Group All Stars Big Band conducted by Jan Ptaszyn Wroblewski.

Kayah and her company Kayax are interested in releasing the album of Krzysztof Kiljañski. All is decided in September, in November Krzysztof and Witek record the song "Stay".Also the video clip is made for the song. In 2004 Krzysztof starts in pre-eliminating contest for Eurovision Festival with the song  Stay . Together with Witek he is working on the album. They also take part in the Top Trendy Contest. In December the single "Procz Ciebie Nic" ( Nothing But You ) featuring Kayah is released and also the video for the song.

24 January 2005 is the date of releasing the "In the Room"  album, which within two month becomes the Number One in Poland and still is very much loved. On 21 April 2005 in Warsaw Krzysztof receives The Gold Record for his album. In the same year on the Opole Polish Song Festival, Krzysztof receives SuperJedynka Prize in the category  Hit of the Year   for the song  Procz Ciebie Nic  (the prize is given by listeners who vote or their favourite songs).

In October the Special Edition of  In the Room  album is released. Additional songs on the CD are: "Kolysanka"(Lullubay), "Blow Wind Blow", "Od Swiat do Swiat"  (Since Christmat to Christmas  and there are also 3 videos: "Procz Ciebie Nic",  "Stay" and "I Don't Know Where Life's Going". In November 2005 the album gains the status of Platinum CD.  30 March 2006 Krzysztof is awarded two Fryderyk Prizes: for the Best Vocalist and for the Song of the Year ( Procz Ciebie Nic). (Fryderyk is the award of Polish Phonographic Firms which might be compared to American Grammy Award).
